We're in China ----- for a while. An opportunity arose to take an extended trip to China to teach strategy and other business courses at Jimei University in Xiamen, China and to meet people and do a little local leg work for a couple of clients while here. Xiamen, formerly called Amoy, and old treaty port, is on the coast, right opposite Taiwan which is 100 miles or so across the Taiwan Strait. The city has more than a million and a half people. No place is changing as quickly as China and the best place to learn about it and try to absorb it is on-the-ground. So here we are, through July 2008.
